To use, just soak fabric in soda ash, scrunch or fold it, cover with ice, then sprinkle on the dye powder. As the ice melts, the dye’s components separate and settle into rich, unique patterns across the surface. The dye works beautifully on cotton, linen, rayon, and other cellulose fibers. Not suitable for synthetics or protein fibers like wool and silk.
